It will take continuous training of more than 15 hours a week for about a year. Ironman Zurich 2017 here I come!
Distances are clear: 3.8 km of swimming, 180 km of cycling, and running a marathon to cool down. All within a given limit of 16 hours - I admit that I have never done anything like that before!
My friends are prepared to support - or at least tolerate - me in this project. My team – Michaela, Christina and Mathias – is ready. They know what it will take to make me fit. BTW, my default health check was fine - nothing to worry about.
My current physical parameters, according to Michaela's assessment:
Basic endurance: medium
Physical strength: weak
Flexibility: very weak
Long distance swimming: medium
Long distance cycling: weak
Mental power: I love the path of least resistance, which may be the biggest stumbling block to my project.
