I am not doing too much sports this week. There is only 1 open water training, 150 km of cycling, and 60 km of running on my to-do list. While this is a slow week, I already know what's coming next week - and I am not looking forward to it!
My coach thinks that my cycling needs improvement. When I look at my training plan for this week, I can see only cycling: long hours of cycling, plus a cycling marathon on Sunday – the so called 'Saentis Classic'.
Swimming sessions are nicely mixed into this sports...
Ironman 70.3 Mallorca. I am facing my first triathlon this year. And while the distance is not really an issue, I am feeling rather tense. I am there with Stephan and his wife Annette, as well as my sister. We will race together.
Training camp participants are cool, coaches are great. This camp is just perfect. It is not only about doing sports but also about developing the right technique. And they give us lots of theory on why we do what we do, which is very informative, indeed.
Back in Zurich after all the pleasures at the Côte d'Azur, I find a note on my apartment’s entrance door: Someone broke into my cellar. I am shocked. My most beloved mountain bike has been stolen! I just cannot believe it! I really loved my old Kuota......
It's been ages since I last felt the luxury of laziness. All I do this week is swim 5 km, cycle 300 km, and run 30 km. I spend the rest of my time meeting friends, going shopping, and drinking endless amounts of hot chocolate.
