Week 9 - Building Speed

At first glance, Michaela’s plan for the new week looked promising. Only a few hours of training! When taking a closer look, however, you could see the flip side of the coin: no easy jogging, no easy rolling on the bike, no floundering about in the water. It was all about building speed - many sprints to improve my endurance. No fun at all!

From Tuesday to Saturday, I spent one hour in the pool each day, working hard to become faster. 50 m sprints (41 sec each) alternated with technical exercises. From Monday to Friday, I did an additional 90 min of cycling exercises in estimated race speed. Saturday and Sunday were exclusively reserved for one-hour gentle running sessions, a real reward after all the sports during the week days...
