Week 12 - The Race

I don’t expect a spectacular personal best. However, it is important to me that I go into a race as well prepared as possible. Accordingly, I focus on the two things I can control – (1) physical preparation (ie, being as lazy as possible this week) and (2) mental preparation (ie, relaxing and getting lots of distraction).

My "little" sister Jutta will participate in the race as well. We are going to Rapperswil this Thursday, relax and prepare for Sunday's race.

Thursday we'll visit the mileage (a 2 times 10 km leg). Friday, we'll ride along the cycling circuit (a 2 times 45 km tour). Finally, we'll test the swimming course on Saturday (1.9 km straight out and back in lap). A wetsuit will be mandatory for a water temperature of around 14.5° C.
