Hillwalking is a quite effective alternative to cycling - you actually need the same leg muscles. Staying in St. Moritz for half the week gave me the opportunity to do just that. I climbed Piz Nair (3,057 m above sea level), enjoyed local specialties in the Segantini hut (2,731 m), and took a few breath-taking photos of Lej Muragl (2,715 m) and Passo del Bernina (2,328 m). My fitness watch measured more than 40,000 steps per day!
Of course I also enjoyed the spa of the Kempinsky Grand Hotel - nearly as much as the stunning view from the mountain tops.
BTW, the first part of the week was reserved for swimming and running workouts (9 and 35 km, respectively).
