I felt like a pro all week long. And not because of perfect material, regular full body massages and a miraculous performance improvement. It was the sheer volume of this week’s training that transformed me into a professional thriatlete.
The downside is my aching body. Nearly 20 km of swimming, 300 km of cycling and 50 km of running made me feel extremely exhausted. Besides normal working hours I filled all daylight hours with sports - running even took place after sunset.
I noticed that running at sunset shines a very special light on the countryside and river banks - everything gets quiet and turns into a mix of physical fatigue and mental refreshment.
